Clemson’s FG unit, hold my beer

Clemson and Dabo haven’t crashed as fast as Texas and Mack did, but the total refusal to adapt as the game is changing is very, very familiar.

I consider myself a student of history, I did not know about this event.

Though my area of historical “study” is much older.

How in 2023 can a serious college football program decide to not use the transfer portal? Or not go after any players that have taken visits at another school?

If Clemson doesn’t adapt to the new landscape of the sport they will go back to being what they were before Dabo arrived within 5 years. An 8-4 team that every few years can win 10.

You can’t be serious…can you? You didn’t know about Kent State?

Until last night, no I didn’t.

Then you probably don’t know this song either.

I do not

I’m beginning to understand why some of the population don’t fear Trump and what he represents as much as they otherwise might. Not calling you out, Doyce, just saying that if there are educated people out there who are ignorant of this chapter, then there is a significant hole (hundreds of them, more likely) in our collective understanding of American history.

As someone who graduated high school in the 80’s our history classes never got past WWII.

I grew up 2 hours from Selma and it was my senior year of college before I saw the footage of bloody Sunday. I was so mad that day. History keeps happening but the amount of time spent teaching it stays the same. Something has to change.

My son and I had this discussion after this tweet. He said the person was too young to understand. My response was that I would expect a social media team to do at least a simple wiki review to get stuff to play off in their posts. That event was a subheading - you couldn’t have missed it if you looked. It might have been accidental but it was easily preventable.
