Texas is very obviously headed in the right direction but some of the decisions and mistakes in this game show that they aren’t there yet.
Everything is still in front of them, though. Win out and then beat OU in the B12 title game and you’re in the playoff. But can’t lose again.

Baylor takes advantage of a Tech fumble and kicks a field goal. Now 14-3 Tech.
Tech kicks a field goal at the end of the half and it’s 17-3 Tech. Baylor will get the ball to start the third quarter.
Tech with one of many 4th down stops keeps Baylor from capitalizing on an interception. Still 17-3 Texas Tech.
