College Baseball 2023

Hardly.

I am not biased and it is a heartbreaking way to lose. Hate it for the players.

My god that was brutal

Watched it a few times again this morning and it just sucks, you can tell nobody could see that ball. I’m sure they’ll all beat themselves up over it but they shouldn’t. The play was just cursed.

Seeing Campbell in tears my heart just broke for him

A brief story which I hope is not too old to be relevant. Here goes: one of my Mac teams had a game with our main rival that year. The other team loaded the bases with two outs. It was twilight. The hitter hit a routine high fly to RF. Our RFer was our best OFer; he later received a scholarship to Tech and was the starting RF there for four years. He was good.

He never saw the ball. The runners were off with the contact because of two outs, and they looked like Indians circling a wagon train. My RFer did not know where it was until it landed, and they scored 2 or 3 runs. That happens at twilight. The ball disappears.

I have read criticism of Stanford’s lights: too low, pointed down, if the ball gets above the lights, look out. I have never been there so this is only what I read last night from an Aggie writer. A&M OF lost one last week which cost two runs.

My heart broke along with Campbell’s. No matter how much future success he has, he will never forget last night.

That’s what I read about Stanford’s lights too. Didn’t know about the A&M play but that adds to the frustration. I don’t even have a team in this tournament, no connection to UT, I just hate seeing anyone’s season end like that.

That’s a shitty way to end a mid-season, mid-week nonconference game let alone the decisive game in a Super Regional. The ball went into that twilight sky and absolutely vanished. It wasn’t just Campbell, nobody saw it.

Kendall Rogers is really good.

Just an Aggie joke but it did break my rule that there are no Aggie jokes, just true stories.

I finally agree with something from this bible-beating school.

Love ya, Cavs, but sorry

Tennessee v Stanford is a fun game

I can’t remember all of them, but this Wake Forest team is one of the best I’ve ever seen.
