It’s the only broadcast that I’m aware of, but I haven’t really researched it.
I figured. I’m one of the out-of-towners who does not have that network.
Haven’t listened to a game on the radio in a while, I’m hoping I can get the UT ones over the weekend while following with their (surprisingly good) in-game website.
Ha!
8-0 and a cumulative 121-8 score against mostly cupcake opponents entering tonight’s game versus the Horns.
The UT/UT matchup is currently T5 with the score tied at zero. Freshman Chase Burns has been awesome on the mound thus far for the Vols.
Horns’ starting pitcher Pete Hansen gives up a solo shot in the T5 and Trey Faltine ties it up in the bottom of the frame. 1-1 heading to T6. Burns with 10 Ks against the #1 team in the nation in just the 3rd start of his college career.
I think Tennessee did not help themselves in the bases though the fifth.
Texas goes to 10-0 with the 7-2 win tonight over Tennessee. The Horns broke through against the Vols bullpen after Burns left the game after 5 innings.
Back to their high scoring ways after being shut down by Pete Hansen and company, the Vols win 10-5 today over Baylor.
Berkman’s HBU squad was 2-8 entering play Saturday but did pick up a 4-1 win today against #23 Sacramento State.
Rice dropped the series to Harvard, 0-3. Looks like the program could use some rebuilding.
How do you lose a series to Harvard?
ETA: today was a double-header, and there’s one more game tomorrow.
Just announced the attendance for UT/LSU at 24,700+ That ain’t bad.
Horns with another impressive win as they defeat LSU 6-1 and go to 11-0 on the season.
Harvard had some ridiculous record like having not won a series in 790 days or something. So they came in and took the first three from the Owls. I don’t know what happened in the final game today.
It turns out that you can’t win a lot of games if you’re not recruiting well. Worse, you can’t recruit well if you’re not winning games. I’m not really sure how Rice can reverse this tailspin, but I hope that somebody smarter than me can figure it out.
I don’t understand what’s happening.
We’re… losing?
I expected 45-0
Some scores from today (and over the weekend):
-
HBU swept a doubleheader yesterday from #23 Sacramento State and won again today.
-
Texas State went in to Tucson this weekend and took 2 of 3 against #11 Arizona. The Bobcats are 10-2 this year.
-
The Horns are no longer undefeated after losing 5-1 today to UCLA.
-
Also at the Shriners Classic Tennessee blitzed Oklahoma 8-0. I believe that puts the Vols having outscored their opponents 141-20 this season.
-
Tulane took 2 of 3 games from #9 Miss State this weekend. The Green Wave is now 10-2 on the season.
-
Northeastern U was just 3-5 entering the weekend but went in to Raleigh and embarrassed #8 NC State by sweeping all 3 games by a cumulative 20-6 score.
Hats off to SWT, sorry, Texas State, for taking 2 of 3 from my alma mater this past weekend in Tucson.
Thank goodness it’s early in the season.
Let’s go BatCats.
I don’t know what kind of team Baylor really has yet, but they took 2 of 3 from ranked opponents at Minute Maid this weekend – beating No. 7 LSU and No. 23 UCLA.
Horns still at #1 of course while the Vols move up to #10 and Tulane moves in to the Top 25 at #18.
