Well, LHN went down during the broadcast. Had a fire in the truck. I listened on the radio. A big slam by Messinger to get the lead and a couple of insurance dingers in the 8th. Nixon pitched the 8th and 9th and was shaky, again.

The Big XII regular season is complete and congratulations to TCU as the 2022 champion.

Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State are tied for second with Tech getting the tie-breaker and the #2 seed in the conference tournament in Arlington. Oklahoma will get the #3 seed, Oklahoma State the #4, Texas has the #5 seed, West Virginia #6, Kansas State #7, and Baylor qualifying for the tournament with the #8 seed. The Kansas Jayhawks will watch the Big XII Tournament from home. Again.

I don’t have high hopes for the BatCats on the PAC-12 tournament. They really scuffled for most of the season (including a series sweep this weekend against Oregon dropping them to the fifth seed in the tournament).

They’re on the bubble for the NCAA tournament and I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t make it, which is surprising and rather disappointing given the roster they have and the strong start to the season.

Really good outing by Hansen for UT: 7 2/3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, leaving with a 3-0 lead. Up to the bullpen now.

UT shutout Oklahoma State 4-0 in their first round game. Dominant pitching. The Longhorns will play the winner of the Baylor-TCU game.

TCU comes from behind to beat Baylor 4-2. Tomorrow: TCU vs Texas and Baylor vs Oklahoma State in an elimination game.

SEC Tourney action has been hampered by weather. Auburn lost their first round game to Kentucky today. They have faded at the end and may have lost their region host spot.

That said, their only run come from co SEC player of the year Sonny Dichiara hit an absolute bomb.
