College Baseball 2021

We lived to play another day!

One hell of a job by Witt.

Survive and advance.

That was Witt? Damn. I have the sound off and thought that was Nixon. Great job.

Yep, Nixon is 41.

Tennessee looked very strong in the SR, and they are two and cue. Go figure.

That’s pretty old for a college pitcher

Maybe IQ?

All kidding aside, Witt came in throwing fastballs, unlike Stevens.

That’s typical for Stevens. He generally gets by with good command of multiple average pitches.

I was at the game and confused by the quick hook by the 3rd base ump of what I thought was a manager, but this thread explains the confusion. Great defense by the Horns in that game to keep the dream alive.

Virginia took a no hitter and a 4-0 lead into the eighth inning but Mississippi State struck hard with six runs in the inning. Virginia got one back in the bottom of the eighth to make it 6-5.

Now in the bottom of the ninth, Virginia has it last chance.

Mississippi State wins 6-5 with all of their six runs and six hits coming in the eighth inning.

Virginia will play Texas Thursday at 6:00 PM CDT in an elimination game with the winner getting another crack at the Bulldogs.

His pitches today were not average, and he had a good FB in the SR.

You sure it’s not a night game on Thursday?

I looked at the schedule earlier and it had it as a night game.

You are correct. The game is at 6:00 PM CDT. I looked at the time PDT and subtracted instead of added.

Stanford leads Vanderbilt 5-4 after seven innings.

Wow. Vandy squeaks.

Vanderbilt with a two-out rally in the bottom of the ninth after being down to their last strike with nobody on base and Stanford loses on a walk-off wild pitch.

Beck issues a two-out walk, an infield single with a throwing error puts runners at the corners. another single ties the game and the wild pitch ends it. A real heartbreaker for the Cardinal.

That 2-2 pitch that popped out of the catcher’s glove (might’ve been 1-2) could very well have been the third strike and last out too, had he held on.

Devastating blow for the Cardinal and their Trill manager and their belt buckles.

Babe, I have been there. See 27th Out, The.

After a rain delay, Texas vs Virginia has started.

Texas got a run across in the top of the second inning and held the Cavaliers scoreless in the bottom. After two, Texas leads 1-0.
