I’ve thought about what I would hold out for in a similar situation. A bat wouldn’t be enough. Maybe a game ball signed by the player in question and a game worn jersey by a popular player or at least a player I like especially?

I’d still hold out for a jersey. Of course, at the same time, I would want the player to end up with the ball. But I’d get a jersey out of it. And, now that I know it’s on the table, batting practice tickets.
