I’m sure it was a great game if you’re not a fan of UH. But if you are, they did not play or coach well.
You are discounting UTSA. They are good. I can’t wait to see them play Texas.
I am in no way discounting them. I’m saying the Cougars played and coached poorly. They had no business winning this game.
They won but there is plenty to second guess. Always is.
That’s kinda the point of these conversations.
THAT was an incredibly fun game.
UH and UTSA should have a home/home I-10 rivalry series with regularity.
BTW, that brisket queso from H-E-B is so good.
Yes! Yes it is!!!
In the end, the Aggies skunked Sam Houston 31-0 but I don’t know if they covered the spread or not.
I’ll say this about Notre Dame: they don’t duck anyone.
As a UH fan I’d love a UH/UTSA annual match. I’d prefer Tulane, but UTSA works too.
I can’t figure out if I want Ohio State or Notre Dame to lose this game.
Can they both?
Bet me.
Texas Tech had an easy time with Murray State 63-10. Tech looked pretty good with the glaring exception of the DBs. If something doesn’t change, they will get burned deep a lot this year.
Tyler Shough played well at QB but injured his collarbone for the second consecutive year at the end of the first quarter. This is just a brutal setback for the senior in what was to be Tyler’s year to shine. Donovan Smith played well in relief and will be the starter next week against U of H.
My alma mater dominated a decent sdsu squad spoiling the Aztecs’ home opener in their swank new stadium where The Murph used to be in San Deahgo. It’s only the 2 win in 2 yrs for UA (slurp shit, kevin sumlin) and we’re still reeling from the richrod, mike stoops and of course, splendid john mackovic hires of the last 20+ years.
Too bad Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson called an awful game.
I’m hoping the Jed’s Fisch experiment in Tucson will bear fruit, or I’ll have to up my drinking.
Which is already high being a lifelong Houston Astros club backer…
Go Cats.
That was a little surprising, I thought the Aztecs would make a much better showing, and, frankly, didn’t expect much from the Wildcats.
Same.
It’s a true Texas national treasure.
That was jesting not predicting.
