Out of curiosity I listened to some of this interview with him. His story about getting Joe Pesci’d when the Rangers owner fired him is great.
Daniels’ best move as GM of the Rangers was signing Beltré. He next best move was also flawed, trading for Hamilton.
Not to go off on a tangent but…Hamilton was the most naturally gifted baseball player I ever saw. Such a shame he couldn’t keep it together.

What they got from him was worth it, but my goodness what a roller coaster.
Jon Morosi threw out Will Rhymes as a name to consider. Director of Player Development for the Dodgers, native Houstonian, and also played for the Tigers and the Rays.

Place me squarely in the camp of wanting someone…anyone really…from the Rays organization.
I can’t count the number of times my friends and I would say “Flames! Coming out my face!” When even mildly upset.

Yes, Yvette’s talents were enormous and well displayed.
Kahn was already on my radar by the time Clue came out.
And yes, my eyes were glued on Yvette every moment she was on screen.
One thing that sets the greats apart is how they always bring their A game even to less-than-classic roles. This SNL skit from later in Kahn’s life is an example I think about a lot. She hits her mark, nails her lines, and still puts juice into the performance even if she knows they can’t all be winners. No BS, no mugging, no breaking, no trying to do too much. Just getting in there, acing it, and moving on to the next one.
