Jake would have seen if it hit the wall. Chas had no idea where the ball was.
Peña with a 1-out double
Acuña down as Peña’s double squared up the inside of his knee.
Acuna caught the ball off the inside of his right knee. Ouch! He was trying to slide catch it and avoid a collision.
Singleton grounds out 6-3 as Peña to 3B
When you are going well like Peña is, you get hits when you don’t hit it well.
And when you’re as terrible as Singleton, you predictably ground out weakly.
Chas hacks out in sliders off the plate
1-0 Braves
Chas is going to see a heavy dose of sliders until he starts laying off them.
His parents shouldn’t have named him Chas, they should’ve named him Chase.
And his name is Chas. That’s not a diminutive of anything.
Nice 1-2-3 third for Brown. 1-0 Braves
Now NY is not saying the ball Arcia hit the sign, only that they are letting the call stand. So we’re back to being fucked.
Jake with a leadoff double.

One replay was pretty obvious to me. I wanted to see a replay of it hitting the sign. I guess that doesn’t exist.
What will it take for players to get behind automated strike zones?
Edit: sounds a variation of it like could be coming next season.

Apparently MLB says there is no video of the ball after it hit the rail, so they’ll just assume it went over.
