Old school shooters would. I assume he was aiming for the rim.
I assume this is a joke.
That was the best college basketball Iāve seen in a long, long time.
āARE YOU KIIDDING MEā literally trending on Twitter.
Thatās neck and neck with the Laettner game in my book.
Laettner had one of the all time great buzzer beaters to send his team to the Final Four in 1990. No one remembers it because he did the same thing two years later in 1992. Talk about the magic touch.
Soā¦ weāre all rooting for Gonzaga, right?
Not those of us married to Baylor alums.
Imo, the charging call was absolutely correct and took a lot of guts to try to draw.
Oh, please.
It was fundamental defense.
Totally agree, MM, but I thought it was gutsy because it is a difficult call for officials.
Timme also had four fouls at the time.
The far worse call was Suggsās āblockā on the dunk attempt before that.
I had no problem with that call either, and I was not rooting for either team.
I have two problems with that callā¦
-
Suggs hit Riley pretty hard on the elbow before contacting the hand, and
-
Suggs went out of bounds and did not re-establish before him being the first player to touch the ball.
And I wasnāt rooting for either team either. Just my observation.
No, I did not think you were. Just making my non-bias clear.
Hey look, a blind squirrel found a nut. Though I did call Loyola beating Illinois because my alma mater is in the MVC and I know how good those teams are. My wife, as soon as I had the final four said āWhy didnāt we put in a bracket in my office pool?ā That is the $15 office pool for the hospital in town run by a doctor. Could have actually banked it this year.
Congrats to Baylor and Scott Drew. Gonzaga looked tired and Baylor just ran them out of the building.
Is there a prize for the lowest-scoring bracket submission? I think I am in the running.
