If so, Whitley’s insisting Stanton pick up the check.
And down goes Trout. To the IL with a bone bruise on the knee. I hope for his sake that it’s not like Tucker’s “bone bruise” last year.
That was this year.
Kody[sp] Clemens, in his fourth game with the Twins after being DFA by Philly, hits a 2 run bomb at Fenway with the whole Clemens family in attendance.
Kody or Koby?
Korby?
Yes, Kody.
I loved the football look, and thought the basketball look was good. But these baseball unis are just kind of okay:

That’s a lot of blue
Arizona did something similar last year with their alternates:
The UofA’s official colors are Navy Blue and Cardinal.
From the Athletic this morning: Aaron Judge’s batting average is higher than any other AL player’s on base percentage.
Dayum
Who does he think he is? Barry Bonds?
Jeeeeez. Maybe this was reported somewhere before, but Astros prospect Nehomar Ochoa was in a freak accident during spring training. He was driving one afternoon and a seven-pound trailer hook came off the truck in front of him, went through his windshield, and lodged itself in his forehead. Sounds like it was pretty gnarly and could’ve easily killed him if it’d hit an inch away. He’s somehow resumed baseball activities already.
Holy crap.
So the Astros head to Cincinnati. The last time they won there Tyler Greene and Matt Dominguez homered to lead Brad Mills’s last place N.L. Central club to their 44th win of the season. In September. It was an election year. Barack Obama was making the final push in his first term.
I can’t wait.
I went to the stadium last year and choked down some skyline chili. I hope the baseball gods are appeased for whatever it was I did to offend them.
That’s taking one for the team.
I shall be in Detroit this weekend, at Comerica Park on Saturday. The Rangers will be in town. I hope they get the living shit kicked out of them.
I know I’ve said this here before, but I’ll say it again: Detroit was absolutely one of the best cities I’ve ever visited. I hope you get to see plenty of it, because it’s fantastic.
I took my son to Cincy to see two games in Sept of 2011. J.R. Towles was catcher, J.D. Martinez was playing LF and J.B. Shuck was in RF. I guess you could say those were the initial seasons of the Astros Dynasty. The Astros lost both games.
