That was a strange play from the get go.
One of the best offenses in baseball history has been stymied by the Phils.
I, for one, am surprised.
Now the Braves know how we felt in ‘21.
Point of order, 3 outs to go before obituary time for Atl.
Walk/bloop thru the right side.
Runners on the corners, no outs.
Pitching change.
Pop to short, 1 out.
F7, too shallow to run.
2 outs for the #9 hitter.
Acuña Jr on deck.
Ok now its safe to dogpile the Braves.
Well, let’s just rerun 2022.
So the three 100-win teams go 1-9. Go figure.
I stumbled across the Spanish broadcast on MLB network for last night’s game and this one.
Quite enjoyable.
“That’s why you spend the money, baby.”
Did reporters make sure whether the Braves were on the record while crying in the clubhouse?
I’ve come to not hate Harper.
Who was almost an Astro once.
I am still mad at them for leaving Milwaukee. And having made room for the Brewers does not help.
I admit his embracing the Phillie Phanatic merch makes me smile. His base running mitten being the phanatic last night was great.
I was talking the other night to some buddies who are Braves fans. We decided the only logo that would have been more appropriate for ATL would have been Waffle House.
In his draft year he got a ton of crap from anonymous scouts for being a shithead, and maybe a product of the Boras media machine whose talent wouldn’t live up to the hype. Kevin Goldstein wrote this for BP:
I remember around the draft that Ed Wade was extremely complimentary of him, though. Something to the effect of him deserving the hype, he’s earned it though his talent and his hard work. That really stuck out to me against the narrative at that time. Then when Harper got to the big leagues it was immediately clear how hard he played, how committed he was to winning, and how legit the talent was. I’ve liked him ever since and would love to have had him on the team. Damn the Lerners for spiking that trade in ‘18.
But it IS his fault for being a dickhead.
