I don’t know how this game is going to turn out but, how much must the Bronx faithful hate Altuve? Has there ever been such complete and abject mastery of a team like this? It defies all logic.

Sanchez with a 2-out walk

It’s like the probability of anybody doing anything positive is about 5%, and the probability of two or three positive things happening in the same inning is… tiny.

Another weak fucking inning

Please, anybody but Judge.

Hader will have to hold it here.

Altuve really didn’t need to swing at that last pitch

The fact that he could actually touch the ball with his bat, which he did, means that yes, he did have to swing.

You could say that 10 times a game.

I’m rooting through drawers and whatnot looking for an analog can opener. I cannot possibly imagine what sort of 5G gizmo Limey has to open his cans of peas.

I was in the airport in Tokyo and they had this thing that would pick up the glass, tilt it, gently pour in the beer and then set it down again. I reckon Limey’s can opener is something like that.

Nice job by Hader. I wonder if it was easy enough to permit a second inning.

I love those beer dispensers in Tokyo. I can sit there and watch those all day.

Whoever was calling the pitches that inning was on the top of their game, and Hader did his thing.

Ok, gotta punch a run across here.

Wild pitch sends Altuve to 3B

Correa took a fucking cookie to 1-0. Just a spinner right in the middle square.

A hit!

We once visited an old-time candy store in Gatlinburg. They had a turn-of-the-century machine for converting a blob of salt-water taffy into individual, wax-paper-wrapped taffies. It was mesmerizing.

Walker needs to not suck here.
