Over and over and over again, Javier is on the outside to righties. Maldonado even pointed him sharply inside encouraging him to get back into the strike zone.
Is that what happens when you open up? I thought opening up would promote the ball to go right for a right handed pitcher.

If you know you’re opening up, you can subconsciously hold on to the ball a bit longer and yank it glove side
