Javier is garbage right now, but why is Maldy calling 20 fastballs in a row to Judge, Torres and Stanton?
He’s rarely near the plate because he knows that he doesn’t have the stuff to get balls past batters. If he gets through the heart of their order a second time I’ll be astounded.
If something is physically wrong, he needs to stop being macho about it and take some time off. It was just weird to see all fastballs to the heart of the Yankees’ order.
Because he can’t throw his slider anywhere but bouncing or right down the middle?
