  1. Where did they get this guy?

T9.

Munoz pitching. Santana stays in at DH (previously Lewis), Raleigh replaces Torrens (who Santana hit for) at catcher.

Pena Ks swinging.
Tucker pops out in foul ground. F3.
Bregman 5-3.

(Munoz had 6 pitches at 101+, including that 103+ ball to Bregman.)

Astros 8, Mariners 5.

What he did to PeƱa was unfair: dropping a 90mph slider at the bottom of the zone after feeding him 102mph fastballs up.

Same trade with the Padres where they got France.

Boy did they make out like bandits on that one.

Nice pick by Yuli.

Ballgame.

Despite the two innings of fuckery, thatā€™s a three run win for a sweep over your closest pursuer.

B9.

Pressly in to pitch.

Crawford - F9.
France - works a full countā€¦6-3.
Lewis F8. (Gamecast had Lewis batting, was it Raleigh instead in real life?)

Final - Astros 8, Mariners 5. Sweep.

The mariners had been playing great baseball as well. Very impressive series.

Iā€™m imagining the Mariners as Wile E Coyote and the Astros as the cliff

That is exactly what happened

Did Pressly set the club scoreless innings record?

He did.

I thought it was consecutive batters retired by a reliever?

Youā€™re right.

I think he already claimed the consecutive batters thing.

Either way congrats to the proud papa.

Consecutive batters. Today was only 10 straight scoreless innings.

Yep, since the NYY debacle heā€™s retired all 30 batters heā€™s faced.

ā€œOnlyā€ a virtual perfect game.

Iā€™m not saying itā€™s not impressive, only that 10 scoreless innings isnā€™t unprecedented.
