He had a mental brain fart, and compounded it with a bad pitch to Santander. Unfortunately, shit happens.
OK, Astros just need to score 2 runs in the top of the 9th and we’re back in this.
Maybe one day Espada will learn not to let his main relievers go a week without pitching.
That said, Abreu has been shit tonight with no qualifier needed

The pitch to Santander wasn’t that bad. What was bad was he should have been facing him with 2 outs and the bases empty rather than bases loaded and nobody out.

Pitching like shit is not a brain fart.
All Abreu had to do was understand the situation with Henderson up and get either the double play (second to first), or take the sure out at first base. Outs were more important than getting Cowser at third base.

Blum and Kalas drive me nuts sometimes, but they weren’t on the mound shitting their pants. I would kick Espada in the nuts for leaving Abreu in when he obviously didn’t have his good stuff.
