Sad Opie in to pitch.

Bregman takes a strike that hasn’t been called all night, 1-1, misses a breaking ball 1-2, fouls 96, gets to 3-2 but Ks swinging

This guy is having an unbelievably horrid night. He has zero business in the bigs.

Yordan 2-0, gets the same suddenly a strike call 2-1, watches another strike called a ball, misses a FB, lines a single over SS

Yuli takes a ball for a strike 2-2, shows his displeasure, Ks swinging and walks away muttering

Correa 2-0, F7

Astros lose 7-3

Yeah, why is Dusty passing the buck to Espada on arguing with a crappy home plate ump that has screwed his team throughout the game? I’d want to let Navas have it and defend my players if I was Baker. (I know Dusty is a player’s manager)

This seems to me to be leaning pretty hard away from how awful he really was, too.

This type of analysis doesn’t account for situational importance.

The worst call of the night was strike 3 to Tucker. 3.5" off the plate, a strikeout instead of a full count

Odor had a 3-0 count instead of 1-2. With 2 outs and runners on base in a tie game.

I for one welcome our robot overlords.

100 percent agree on all fronts.

It’s one thing to call a pitch a hair off the plate a strike or one that clips the very edge of the zone a ball, but missing by 3 inches, in, out, up, or down (which he did all of) is just fucking trash.

A postscript from me: a crowd yelling “Fuck Altuve” as a chant should not be allowed by MLB, and Dusty should say a lot more than “they were rough on him.”

Yankees fans are trash. The fact that sports news are gleefully reporting it is disgusting though.

As for Dusty, we essentially have a Build-A-Bear coaching the team.

My thought exactly on the reporting of the obscene trash chant like it is a notable sports event. I get more and more disgusted every hour with Major League Baseball and its sycophant reporters.

Fuck Stankee fans and their chants, however, I thought the “we don’t know you” chant at Tucker was gold, and unfortunately, applicable. He’s done nothing for anyone to know who he is. He’s got to turn this around and in a hurry.
