With Texas playing Seattle Thursday, I see competitive mischief at our expense. We have no option other than a sweep of the Mariners. That takes Thursday out of our fate

Regardless of whether this team makes the postseason or not, these players need to be told no. They can go home and play ball if they want, but if they want to play in MLB they have to sacrifice their wants over the needs of the team.
Perhaps they can avoid the home field disadvantage that way.

Iām ready to see Abreu as our full time closer. Pressly has been a great pitcher for us for many years but itās Abreuās turn in my opinion.

Pressly is still a very good leverage reliever and a great #2.
Abreu became an absolute stud last year, especially in the playoffs (I need to rewatch the Stanton AB- filthy)
But there is no doubt that he continued that growth this year.
Its time for Abreuto be moved into that #1 closing role.
Listrning to the cheers from the stands when Altuve was HBP really pissed me off. I wished it surprised me but after going to a game there last year, its par for the course.
These next 2 games need to be dominant and put the Mariners to bed and that fanbase out of their misery.
