Astros @ Mariners Sep. 21, 2020

I don’t mean to beat a dead horse but why in the everliving fuck is Straw leading off?

Another starting pitcher having a career night against the Astros.

More positive signs from Altuve.

Holy shit, Altuve hit a ball with authority.

He kept his head in long enough to actually see that one.

He had a solid single earlier as well.

And a walk.

Jesus, what a feeble fucking swing by Bregman.

Fucking christ, this team sucks to watch right now.

Bregman continues to drive balls deep into the infield.

They’re gonna get donkey punched by Seattle, then get eliminated in the 4 game set in Arlington, and I’m gonna have to put my head in the oven.

Because Statcast Data told Dusty Baker to rest George Springer, and I guess Baker decided nobody else on the roster was worthy of leading off.

If they don’t get their heads out of their collective ass offensively, it’s a distinct possibility. The hitters should be ashamed of their performance in September.

I legit may just take a year off from baseball if they’re seriously going to let Dusty Fucking Baker manage this team in to the ground next year.

I mean, Garneau might be worse, but he’s the only one who might be.

I think Bregman’s at bat convinced Dusty to throw in the towel on this one.

Of course. Even Brantley is blowing plays.

Brantley drops a bases loaded flyball in the LF corner.

I completely agree with you. Straw is not a major league caliber player and neither is Dustin Garneau. I’m already annoyed that George Springer is getting a day off despite being healthy in an important series the last week of the season.

Btw that Bielak hit batsmsn was scary AF.

How the fuck was that a hit?

which begs the question- who plays CF next year if Springer isn’t back?
