Definitely a AAAA post

“5 innings against the best offense in baseball”

Minus Altuve, Brantley, Bregman, Akvarez, and Tucker.

Don’t let the facts slow you down, pbp guy.

Seems to be an inordinate amount of those plays this year, I guess youth and unfamiliarity is to blame

Fly ball outs? Hope so.

Lack of communication

Maybe a wacky theory, but are you seeing more of those plays through MLB this year because they got used to calling for it in a quiet stadium?

That was some bad damn luck for Castro. Had a huge hole to hit thru and hit it at the lone fielder.

Toro! Toro! Toro!

??? You call for the ball in practice. Quiet stadiums would not make you stop.

Are you assuming Straw did not call for the ball? Looked on my telly like Chas did not give way. Surely he could see Straw right there.

Good grief, this is some lineup.

I’m not blaming any particular player or anything, but I’ve just noticed it more often this year with Tucker, Straw and Chas especially.

eta: there’s been a few between the IF and OF too

Seems to be happening with opponents as well.

Maybe just coincidence, and may not be happening more frequently that prior years. But feels like it.

Dunno. I have not watched closely enough to say. We cannot hear what they are saying. CFer, whoever it is, has the ROW.

Come on, Jake

Nice turn by Robel
