I believe the count was 1-2 on Diaz.
I know less about the particulars than you do, but thatâs an interesting perspective. It seems like they could never get over the hump before, or after the Morgan trade.
Maybe Morgan doesnât become a Hall of Famer on the Astros?

Off the top of my head: Morgan, Lofton and Cuellar
I will just make this one last shitty comment. I think the Gomez trade was the worst trade in franchise history because of Fiers and the probably permanent besmirching of the â17 title and that whole extraordinary run of teams. The outcome of a single career, even a HOF one, palesâfor meâin comparison to that benchmark. I recognize this wonât be true for everyone.
I was told by a good source the Astros thought they needed to separate them. Maybe they thought Wynn had more potential? Maybe Morgan was better with Reds than he would have been with the Astros? Dunno, but Morgan was great after he left, and May and Helms were good too, but not great.
Tie game on a home run by Jose Ramirez.
Goddammit, Montero is a gascan

Letâs make it stick.
Javierâs Invisiball must be visible in Cleveland. I hope MLB investigates.
Protect those fingers, Ryan.
Very nice play by Peña.
His quick release is sweet to watch.
