Johnny Mercer wrote the lyrics to Moon River. He and Bobby Darin collaborated on an album called Two of a Kind. I’ve long owned it, of course. But today I discovered that while I wasn’t paying attention there was a reissue that includes any number of previously unreleased tracks.
So tonight hasn’t been a total waste.
Mercer was a great lyricist. He also collaborated with Mancini on Days of Wine and Roses.
