James Click is looking better and better.
Indeed.
Trades, like draft choices & FA signings, take a while to properly assess.

You people who piled shit on Abreu all year long, and you know who you are, do not get to cheer him today. I, however, do.
YAY JOSE ABREU!
Hopefully now that he has seen the ball clear the fence and gotten that monkey off his back, heâll relax and let it fly. Getting Jose Abreu back to himself can only be a good thing. I hope he dunks on everyone who has talked shit.
When do I get my invite?
Yep, I agree with all of this. I was happy with the Abreu acquisition, which made me wish even more Yuli would have accepted a utility role from the outset. I strongly preferred him over Hensley, and I do not dislike Hensley. I just liked Yuli more and believed he would have flourished in the utility role in Houston. An aging ballplayerâs pride often overcomes reality. See Mantle, Mickey and Mays, Willie.
ETA: I loved Abreuâs joyous sprint around the bases and slide into the dugout and teammates. I half expected the silent treatment after his first one, but I am glad they immediately reacted with the same joy he had.
We were sitting at the gate in the flight deck yesterday in Oakland waiting for the mechanics to finish our required aircraft inspection before we took off for Honolulu, and I was watching the game whilst it was going on, just a few miles away, like the lifelong loyal Houston Astros baseball club backer that I am. We had about 2 hrs on the ground, so I was able to watch much of the game, and shortly before pushback as we were waiting on our takeoff data to come in from our highly technologically advanced supercomputer system thingy that works marvelously, our gate agent popped his head in to check on things. He noticed me drinking out of my rainbow guts Astros tumbler that I use at work, and saw me watching the game. He proceeded to start talking smack (predictably) so I turned to him with a rather happy smile and said, âYou may want to check on the score of the beat down those Houston Astros are putting on your minor league team over there at the Coliseum.â
He got mighty quiet and our takeoff data came through a moment later.
I live living rent free in peoplesâ minds as a Houston Astros supporter
