Astros at White Sox, July 26, 2026

Through 1 inning, White Sox 2, Astros 1.

Pena homered in the top of the first.
Blanco walked the leadoff guy, Murakami homers.

Would be really cool if one of our injured pitchers returned at their former effectiveness

I think they should get a full spring training and early season before they are considered rotation ready.

I would rather have Javier than Blanco in the rotation.

Top of 2nd

Fedde pitching

Wade walks
Diaz grounds into 5-4-3 dp.

Sox 2, Astros 1 trhough 1.5

Bottom of 2nd.

Blanco pitching.

Peters 4-3

End of 2, Sox 2, Astros 1.

Blanco looked better in his first start back than Javier has in any appearance this year. He’s the one to bet on imo.

Billy, this is Jeremy Pena. He’s an All Star and one of the best shortstops in the game.

His deficit is that he can’t seem to stay on the field.

You might be right, we will see.

Pena!!!

My timing. Impeccable, it is.

Hopefully, they will diversify their offense and not rely solely on Pena homers.

Top of the 3rd

Fedde pitching

Dezenzo 5-3
Pena homers again!
Alvarez F8
Paredes 1-3

After 2.5, tied up at 2.

It’s a little early in the game for that. Check back in the 6th or 7th inning.

Trammell throws an 8-hopper to third that allows a shallow single to advance to second.

Paredes! That’s one way to get out of a jam!
