Astros at Twins, 4/6/25

Astros get 1 in the top of the first on two singles plus a SF by Alvarez, but lose the chance at more when Pena hits it two feet with runners on first and third.

Blanco can’t find the plate with a map, has given up 3 runs on 2 hits with 35 pitches and still counting in the first.

Rodgers leads off the second with a base hit and Dezenzo GIDP on the next pitch. Ugh.

Just sad how these games seem out of reach by the second inning.

There are more alarming developments concerning the end of things these days, but it looks rough here, too.

Holy shit, Altuve, that was the worst at bat in history of at bats.

Oh, Blanco has never thrown 36 pitches in any inning?

And we burned our long man yesterday?

Cool, cool, cool, very cool.

Walk and single have two Twins on, nobody out

Correa with a bloop single to make it 4-1, Twins on the corners…

Another game over in the first three innings.

Tough team to watch.

First two innings. This team is just hot garbage, pitching and hitting.

Another two out walk loads the bases.

And that’s all for Blanco.

“Joe Espada has seen enough”

Join the crowd, Joe.

Fly out end the inning

Through two…4-1 Twins.

Paredes hammers one 500 ft just foul, then flies out on the next pitch. Sigh.

Yordan pops up, doesn’t get out of the way and is called out for interference even though the catcher drops it. Espada out to argue, but has none.

HPU having a rough go of it today.

That was 100% the correct call.

Middle of three…4-1 Twins
