Astros at the Dads

These Astros at bats are lulling their fans to sleep.

Honestly, I’ll be surprised if they score this series.

Well 1B is one spot the Astros have had squared away pretty good all year. No chance for a guy hitting .322 to crack that nut.

First base, you say?

Barranquillero Donován Solano grounds out to end the inning.

I wonder if his walk up music is still Joe Arroyo’s En Barranquilla Me Quedo.

HPU didn’t even buy him dinner first.

Cintron was saying “No, YOU go.”

Hilarious.

I’d be thrilled if the Astros had Luis Arraez at 1B. He’s one of my favorite hitters in the league that’s not an Astro, and he’s clearly an upgrade over Singleton.

This isn’t umpiring incompetence, it’s outright abuse.

Now would be an awesome time to practice October comeback baseball.

Or we could just sandbag until the playoffs, finding new and incredible ways to lose really close games that come down to timely, patient hitting and not serving up meatballs down the middle of the dish.

Yainer grounds in a force out (Yordan out at 2nd) but Tuck reaches on batters interference. 1 & 2 (1 out) for Bregs

Bregs ground into a force at 3 (Machado tries to get a DP - but errant throw means 1 & 3 now with 2 outs and Caratini up).

This is probably the game (Caratini called out on strikes)

I expected a lot more from Caratini there, that was really bad.

I also kind of wanted Kyle to try to score on that bad throw. I’m not sure where he was on the base paths when the throw got away.
