The Twins needed pitching so they moved Luis Arraez for Pablo Lopez before last season. The Marlins sucked out of the gate this year and couldn’t come to an agreement on an extension with Arraez, so they traded him to San Diego.
Arraez would be a perfect Brantley replacement as a hitter, but he’s not a utility infielder. His weakness is his defense. He DH’s or plays first base for the Padres most games.
