We’re on a winning streak so of course it’s time to get weird with the lineup:
2b Altuve
3b Bregman
DH Alvarez
1b Y Diaz
SS Pena
C Caratini
CF Meyers
RF Dubon
LF McCormick
P Kikuchi

Lineup ain’t so weird, but the defensive positioning is…curious.
It took me a minute to figure out what was weird about it just looking at the names. Then had the “ohhhh” moment with Diaz at 1B.
It all looks good to me.
Maybe we traded for Yandy Diaz? Maybe Espada likes having Y Diaz starting at first for both teams? Who knows?
Good grief, Chas.
Chas turns a routine single into a double for TB
If Chas had been positioned ten feet deeper and still waited like he did, the ball would’ve stopped rolling and he’d have to run forward to get it.
That run is 1000% on Chas
And they fucking score.
Chas wears that one.
Yup, he owes us a run.
Now the Astros are just conceding second base.
Chas has gone from being a guy I thought would blossom into a really good player to a guy who has no business on the team. That was an absolutely disqualifying play.
Astros gift wrapped a run, left it on their porch, rang the doorbell, brought the run inside, helped them unwrap it, and then smiled while everyone else enjoyed it.
That groundout should have him at an even .200 or below.
Match that with 4 HR and he’s barely better than any pitcher at the plate.
He’s following the Jason Lane career path quite well.
Baz is a mess. One ab or so to take the gift back.
Well, all the neighborly love has been nice. Enough of that though.
Detroit’s being mighty neighborly at the moment.
Hope they do that tomorrow as well.
