Who was left to pinch hit, genius? The collision emptied the bench.
Don’t know why you two are being disks (nurture over nature)? But at the time my thought was JJ.
Disks?
Well, here is a logical answer for you. Castro already had one hit and another hard hit out into an extreme shift. Your Hero likely thought Castro was having good swings yesterday. JJ is the rawest of rookies and has been mostly K or homer thus far with his only two hits going the distance. His last up I remember was chasing a bad pitch for a K PH for Brantley after the injury. As I recall, you popped in here that day only to question Baker’s using JJ to hit.
No mystery to me why Baker trusted the veteran who was having good swings over the rookie in the pressure situation. But what do I know? I am only a disk.
The man said disks.
You know, the body part. That are sometimes bulging.
Or maybe he meant the things that have to be plugged into the right slot for everything to work right. They can be hard or floppy, but the hard ones respond much faster.
Anyway… a bunch of disks.
Only two. Father and Son disks.
I’m guessing most folks would say that if the disks aren’t functioning properly, that’s a problem that has to be resolved ASAP.
Some argue that there are modern tools than can get the job done better, but in the end, nothing can replace a good disk.
