Thanks for following along.
First attempt at PBP.
Got a bit distracted ( squirrel) by some factoids causing some jumbled choppy ABS.
I’ll try to do better next time.
Any other tips?

You did fine. Side topics are frequently discussed in the game zone.
Yes but between pitches? Lol
I’ll try to not break ABs into multiple posts
But thank you very much.
And if the Astros lose next time I may stop until they win a few.
Don’t want to be that kind of jinx
It’s a totally different situation than last night
Maldonado should never hit in the 9th inning if you are losing by less than 3 runs and have a catcher on the bench in case you tie it up.
Who did you want to hit for him? Castro against their lefty closer?
Huh??
Trying to follow on the phone when I could. Two impressions:
Very disappointed in Greinke. He was not an ace today, and he has to pitch like one against the elite teams.
Baker must trust Taylor more. He yanked him before I would have.
Question. I know Yimi gave up a homer, but how did his stuff look?
No.
I wanted Meyers to hit for pitcher, then Alvarez to hit for Maldonado - hopefully as tying run with Meyers on base.
If Astros tie it, then Castro catches the 9th.
So you basically wanted Meyers to make his Big League debut over Maldonado. Yeah, not down with that.
Me either. They were not going to hit him today in a tight game on his first day in the bigs.
Being down a position player, and Greinke’s inability to get past the 4th inning put them in a bad spot.
We scored enough runs for Greinke today, but he did not show up.
Agreed. Offense was there. Gave him a lead, then got him back even after he blew it. He simply did not deliver. I know the error by Correa hurt, but he just sort of folded after that.
