Astros at Braves, 4/21/23

That was an amazing slide.

Great jump. Plodding run. Great, tag-avoiding slide.

Dude’s carrying a 15 game hitting streak, those are heavy, yo.

Interesting comment from the Apple talking heads. “The Astros say they are just treading water trying to stay near .500 waiting for Brantley and Altuve to get back”. Interesting that someone may have actually articulated that.

I do like being able to hear the umpire explain why he’s making the pitch clock call. He did give a warning for it.

I don’t like Diaz not even looking for the ball there.

They quoted Dusty directly.

I gotta be honest, I liked what I saw from Brown in this game, especially in this 5th inning. He was clearly just a tiny bit off against a great hitting team but showed flashes of grit and absolute stuff-based brilliance. Really impressive for a rook. The anti-Tim Redding, if you will.

Someone should tell the guys in the Astros dugout to SCORE SOME FUCKING RUNS!!!

That’s a bold strategy, Cotton.

Woohoo!

Nobody had any idea where that ball was going to end up, I guess

Deked by the OF

Thought that one was gone.

This PBP guy is horrible, never even indicating if Meyers was trying for second.

I have Jesse Chavez on my fantasy team. He’s one of my favorite vatos.

He really is bad

That escalated quickly

Keep him for god’s sake.

Jake is acting a lot like he intends to stick around.

Has he ever called a game before? Because that would make sense

Tie game and they don’t even hesitate to put Alvarez on. Abreu needs to get his shit together.

ETA: So do I. He was signaling to the bullpen because it was Bregman up, not Alvarez.
