We used to have the scariest batting order in Baseball. Tonight we can’t even make the pitcher sweat?
Ok Altuve, you have been quiet for a while now. Please show us you should be in the 1 spot by getting some RBI
Top 8.
Grove pitching.
Chas - 6-3.
Maldonado - walks
Altuve - 6-4-3.
Mid 8. Astros 2 BFCB 3.
Total suck performance
9 Scumball hits plus 2 walks, the Astros have done well to only allow 3 runs tonight.
But our excuse for an offense drives me crazy these days.
OK 9th inning. Will we show up this time?
Bottom 8.
Neris pitching.
Peralta - 4-3.
Vargas - pops up F2.
Outman - can’t check on a splitter, FB inside, looks at generous FB strike (a couple of inches wide), swings and misses a splitter in the dirt. K.
End 8. Astros 2 Dodgers 3.
This is a winnable game, it’s just a run. Come on!
It’s official. Our batting coach is Pee Wee Herman.
Pitched well enough to win, but…again.
Top 9. Time for the rally hats.
Graterol pitching
Dubon - 5-3.
Tucker - 4-3.
Bregman - fouls off sinker, FB up and in, 6-3.
Final Astros 2 Dodgers 3.
Blech
I think we need to get used to the idea of watching other teams come October.
I was there quite a while ago, and it is ok for me. This is not the team personnel-wise we expected to have.
TK mentioned that the Astros will throw 3 rookie starters for this series.
The offensive struggles make us forget that the rotation has been obliterated by injuries.
…and still lead all of MLB in ERA. What a Houdini job by the Astros development team.
FanGraphs still has us at a 55% chance to make the playoffs. It will basically come down to NYY/TOR/BAL/HOU for three wild card spots.
