Playoff teams win series.

Gotta get back to that.

Two infield hits with two outs led to Montero’s most recent undoing. When they got two today with no outs, I was not expecting a happy ending.

The trip ain’t over. Still three in Chicago, so win that series too.

Nice pivot by Pressly today:
1st 11 pitches - 4 batters, 4 hits, 2 runs in, and runners on 1st & 2nd
Last 10 pitches - 3 outs, a K & nothing out of the IF

Only one hit after the mound visit.

You’re right, my mistake. I forgot the Astros had three left in Chicago, starting Friday. Like you said, they need to win the series against the White Sox, too.

The more I see Abreu play, the less I like watching him play. I can forgive someone having a bad stretch (like the very broken Bregman) but Abreu is tough to watch and hear about. I know this smacks of “hustle face” syndrome but, c’mon. Tell the team if/where it hurts so they can help. Stop bickering with Snitker. How is insisting you know what to fix with your swing working out for you? Work with a running coach to regain some of that lost speed up the line. I find myself mentally tuning out during his AB’s because he is increasingly unwatchable to me.

Rome continues, “That’s just fundamentally poor roster construction.”

No – That’s fundamentally poor (second grade) math. If you have four bench players and take away three, you get ??
