This game is a total snoozefest, at least a nap would have been somewhat useful
Told y’all I wanted to go after Eovaldi. He has been an ace thus far.
Good fucking grief these runners are halfway to second before the pitchers deliver the ball.
JFC a goddamn throw back in to the infield plates a run.
Awful.
That is completely embarrassing.
And I don’t care what those outfield arm rankings say, there is no chance on this Earth that Meyers has a better arm than Chas.
Brantley and Alvarez healthy and in the lineup, starting … now.
15 hits for Arlington.
2 for Houston.
Guess who’s winning.
Tucker HR, we get to see Will Smith…
Way to make it at least interesting, Tuck.
That was a towering HR.
Only highlight.
Yep, fitting Abreu cued a pop corn fart of a hit to 2B to end it.
Just a friendly reminder that the Rangers record thusfar is a fucking bullshit illusion for the most part:
Rangers have won 13 of 16 games against the three worst teams in baseball this year in the A’s, Royals and Rockies. They are 37-33 vs. the rest of MLB over that span.
(I changed it from 36-33 to 37-33 to reflect today’s result)
One amusing highlight in the walk out the stadium.
Rangers fan points at the team shop and asks his Astros fan buddy “hey, you wanna switch jerseys?”
Astros fan chuckles, says “too soon, man” then pauses half a beat and says “Do you have any with World Series Champs patches?”
Nailed it.
Hahaha!
According to my mental tally of the Astros vs. Eovaldi see-saw, it was his turn to dominate us.
Yep, it’s been an every-other-start 0ER or getting bombed for a couple of years now. We’ll get him next time.
He certainly did. He has been an ace so far.
From my vantage (up the RF line) I was able to appreciate pitch speed and up/down location.
Eovaldi was varying his pitches nicely and I’m guessing his arm slot etc was spot on because our hitters were either so far in front the missed by a foot or they were rolling over into dp’s.
