Astros @ Angels, September 6, 2020

Now they have to send out a Spring Training B game lineup every day… with predictable results.

They fucked themselves giving up those two home games.

Coming into this series, you’re thinking you really have to win 3 out of four to have a realistic shot at the division. A split, and you’re only mostly dead. Instead you stomped your dick unlike anyone in the history of the world has ever stomped theirs. We’re talking the Spanish Armada level of dick stomping.

Padres took 2 of 3 from Oakland so there’s that.

But the pen is a dumpster fire and now we’re down another starter.

Did they have a choice?

They certainly did against the A’s. I think they did for the Angels game too.

I thought that was all MLB’s decision.

I did too. I thought they were COVID-driven MLB decisions.

The A’s game was definitely COVID. The Angels was the hurricane.

The A’s game they walked off the field in protest. Everyone was there, and they were ready to play.

They played a DH the day after the protest and swept the A’s.

So which game are they missing then?

Hurricane getaway in the Angels series.

Covid game when A’s had a positive test.

The Sunday game that was cancelled right after the DH.

Ok. I thought the extra this week was the protest makeup. I remember they went through a stretch where they had five days off in six days. Either way, losing those two games hurt. Not only do they now have to pile up games, they lost two at home and have to pile up on the road, where they were already fucked by the schedule with the A’s.

Dammit.

That’s supposed to be a pic of Yoda.

This weekend sucked.

Well, the last three days have sucked. Hopefully tomorrow is better. I’m getting ready to put a brisket on the smoker, so hope springs eternal.
