I had exactly the same thought when he hit that ball. I wonder if he hits with more backspin than most.
I don’t know about backspin, but the home run he hit the other night in Houston was like a cannon shot.
Dunno, but his swing in the 8th Sunday looked to me like he just dropped the head of the bat on the ball, but it went to the train tracks. Lots of power.
Perhaps the camera angle, but 2nd base ump appeared to move into the line of fire on Correa’s throw on this play. Could have been painful.
If the ump had interfered w/ the play, what would the call have been? An out?
I looked it up but to no avail.
If the ball hits the ump it’s tough shit. Go pick up the ball and keep playing.
