Remember when the A’s were elite? The Bash Bros? And before those douchebags you had the teams with Catfish Hunter, Sal Bando, Reggie!!! Bule Moon Odom and Vida Blue!! But things change.
I attended a game at Yankee Stadium in is last season.
They had the trough style urinals.
A real treat.
Definitely remember the 80s A’s being viewed as worthy heirs to the great teams of the 70s.
Maldonado the beneficiary of another horrible call. Good lord
The KC A’s were not too memorable but the Philly A’s had some all-time greats.
Jose be hacking
My biggest KC A’s memory is seeing an old Satchel Page pitch in a game. I think it had something to do with his pension. He must have been in his 50s.
Allen draws a walk. A’s first baserunner since the leadoff single on Brown’s first pitch of the game.
Ruiz fouls out into the brackish area.
Through six…5-0 Astros
The HPU has no idea where he is, much less where the zone is.
Strange because he just lost it after several on point innings.
At the Stretch…5-0 Astros
And it’s 5-2 now
A little long for Brown, maybe
He labored in the 6th. I’m surprised they ran him out for the 7th
Brent Rooker is one of the few bright spots for the A’s this year.
I kind of happy they were willing to test him for the 7th.
ETA: With a 5 run lead of course.
Mark Kotsay has a thankless task as manager of the A’s. Is he a Bo Porter/Brad Mills type or will he rise above being a manager of a shit team?
That’s 2 foul outs for Julks that would have been a few rows deep in every other preceding stadium in North America.
Neris late covering the bag. That seems to be happening too often.
