Yankees with winning run at 3B, one out…
Meanwhile FTY have 2nd/3rd with 1 out in the 9th.
Judge due up.
Rays put in a 5 era pitcher to start the 9th. Kittredge coming in now.
Giants close out their game, win the NL West. Dodgers and their 106 wins will have to win the play-in game.
Yankees win. They’re in.
Yankees win
Infield in, Judge hits a grounder right at second baseman, but throw to the plate took forever and the play wasn’t close.
Yankees win.
Ball up the middle skipped off the mound, throw home from 2B was late.
Yankees are in.
All eyes on Boston/Was.
For some bizarre reason, that last play was ruled a hit by Judge rather than a fielder’s choice. So the Yankees get four hits in the game, three in the 9th.
Not hindsight…I was wondering why they were pitching to Judge with a base open and not Stanton with the bases full. I’m sure there’s a reason.
Just looked it up: Stanton has 22 GIDP this year btw
Judge is a high strike out guy, and you have a base open. You walk him, you set you set yourself up to lose the game. I have no issues not walking him.
You don’t think a 5 hopper that skitters off the mound is a base hit every time?
Giants win the NL West.
Dojers win 100+ yet they are a WC team.
You hate to see it.
What the scorer said was that had there been two outs, they had no shot to get Judge at 1B. Absurd.
WTF. There weren’t 2 outs.
If the fences were 2 inches tall and in front of the home plate dirt it world have been a HR.
I guess it’s time to switch back to YouTube TV. FUBOTV doesn’t have MLB Network or TBS.
T mobile gives mlb tv subscription for free each year.
This is one day it really proves nice.
You’re missing the point. Do you think there’s no way they could have thrown Judge out at 1B on that?
They chose not to. That should be the point.
I’m agreeing with you, not the idiot scorer.
Of course any 2B besides Odor makes that play.
