No I don’t know. Yuli doesn’t strike me as being a stats first kind of guy, and Dusty has sat guys for lesser reasons. Perhaps that’s it.

When the Astros first signed Yuli, many in the baseball punditocracy proclaimed that the Astros weren’t really after Yuli, who was too old to have much value, but rather his younger brother.

Lunow always maintained that he wanted Yuli for his own sake.
