Both of my grandfathers were awesome too, though neither were biological. My maternal biological grandfather was a complete dickhead. He left Spain for Cuba with my grandmother then soon moved to Florida. He left my grandmother who then had to go roll cigars for a living. That was not a prestigious profession for women back in the day.

To round this discussion out, I had a great, great uncle who was the last person executed in the state of Florida by hanging. He was convicted of accessory to murder in a robbery gone wrong. All pretty much agreed he was not the trigger man, and only participated in the affair because his partner turned the gun on him and said if you don’t, I’m killing you. Nonetheless, the jury was not sympathetic.
Yeah, bad calls from idiot umpires cut no ice with me.
I believe that also officially eliminates the Rangers. Which is always nice.
