As a kid my hair was straw straight and thinner than twine, just the absolute worst. I didn’t have sense enough to do anything reasonable with it which would have meant keeping it shortish, which I was unwilling to do. As I’ve aged my hair has taken on some agreeable wave thanks to my many gray hairs, which are not straight for some reason.
Now, if you want to know who has the best hair I know I’ll be happy to tell you and that’s my son. His hair is very wavy, tons of body, just unimprovable. Thanks for stepping up in an important area, wife.

I inherited my father’s English complexion but my mother’s Spanish hair. It started to thin in my 30s, and now I just keep it buzzed. I always say I had it when it mattered. And I always promised myself I’d never be one of those guys who pretended he had more than he did.
And yes, grey hair is typically stiffer, and consequently less straight, than pigmented hair.

Hair loss is not a reality I face, nor does my brother. But I always knew that if I did I’d just buzz it short and move on. It’s easy for me to say, but it’s really not that big a deal at all if you have a little personality and a little self confidence.
