Or maybe 2 games aren’t representative of 162 game season.
Classic postseason attitude. Your team wins a game, it feels like they can’t be beat. The lose a game, and it feels like they’ll never win again.

You guys seem to be assuming that this season doesn’t end with an egregious example of mismanagement, which could 1) well happen, and 2) change the Baker calculus quite a bit.
The question is; was Game 3 egregious enough?
Dusty’s whole tenure has been egregious. Nothing he can do will get him fired before next season. Nothing.

Dusty’s biggest mistake was letting Luis Garcia pitch to the other Garcia at all.
He was clearly spent, had nothing, and could give nothing.
Any choice out of the pen would raise scrutiny because after Graveman/Stakek/Pressly there is no one who doesn’t have giant question marks on the scout sheet.
So Yimi, who isn’t exactly a fireman, comes in with a 2-0 count and 2 on.

Luis had nothing the entire game, including command.
He will be back unless he says he doesn’t want to. Everything I’ve read says the players absolutely love him. I think the only way to get him to say no is to win the World Series.
