Wasn’t able to be in the GZ last night, but now that I’m caught up with the thread…

Speculation, not fact. We’ll see.
Crane basically said as much last night after the win: “We’re going to be in the World Series. When we get done, we’ll sit down and visit about that. Listen, Dusty deserves another shot for next year. We’ll see where it goes.”
Yes. Opinion.
Isn’t that what we do here?
Give our opinions and thoughts regarding issues effecting the Astros and share and talk about them?
And what is wrong with that.
No, opinion is cool. Just do not post it like established fact.
I like Espada as much as the next OWAer and I’d be glad if he were the next manager, whenever that may be.
But my knowledge of future managerial candidates begins and ends there. If he goes to greener pastures good luck to him. It won’t be -the- reason a given Astros squad does or does not succeed.
Worth reiterating what a great/important play Altuve made in the 1st.
Smoltz commented that with the OF shifted there’s a chance that ball gets thru (to the wall) and a run scores.
At the very least it’s corners with no outs.
You did great.

A NYT article on Alvarez
Thank you for posting this. A good read. Here is a free link.
Did not know that families could “travel” to the DR (“where all MLB teams have baseball academies”). It’s that easy? Does Cuba profit from players playing in the US?
Didn’t know there was a Yuli connection as well…
His meteoric rise has been timely for the Astros and a joy for fans to see. Thanks againl
