I am not worried about unsafe. The unavoidable result of forcing them to play in rain is hurting the defense with wet grass, mud, and wet baseballs.
I just checked a weather station near the stadium. They are forecasting light rain up until 7:00 PM and then off and on light rain for three days. However, they are reporting no accumulation so far.
They’ll do everything they can to get this one in, even if it goes into tomorrow. There is no more room for a rainout.

They will never again remove travel days in the playoff schedules in order to finish a day or two earlier on the calendar

That’s not how it works. Games 6 and 7 are at the higher seed location. Period. That is not negotiable.

Rain is also forecast for Philly for the next few days too. It’s possible that neither league gets to play until Tuesday or Wednesday, really fucking up the WS schedule.
