Exactly, Mark. Cannot believe someone wondered if the injuries meant their bodies were not in condition for games.
The Colonel returns:
Quite a list of injured players. No doubt many were not ready to go after mlb pulled the plug in March.
I guess Iāve never seen him hit.
Anyone who watched the game, any word on Josh James leaving in the sixth?
He cleanly pulled something in his hip as he came off the mound for a grounder. Almost certain to land on the IL.
He couldnāt walk more than a couple steps before he gave up and went down. It took a trainer under one arm and Correa under the other to help him off the field.
It looked to me more like he jammed the hip landing awkwardly while fielding the ball. But whatever he did, I agree with MM that heās headed for the IL.
Crapola. Thanks, MM. Man, what a disaster all these injuries are.
Another pitcher:
Brantley not back today.
edit per Dusty: Ran the bases today and āfelt greatā, looks to be back next week.
James feels better, hasnāt been put on the IL yet
Brantley in the lineup, DH in the 6-spot.
Alvarez to the 45-day IL. Chase DeJong to the big club.
Astros are petitioning MLB to bring some of their rehabbing MLB guys back to Houston to work out since CC shut down, mentioned Devo, Urquidy, Diaz specifically.
Any word on Springer?
X-Rays negative. Heās considered day to day. Not sure what to make of the double header today.
I saw that he was a no-go for both games.
He could certainly benefit from spending a day with a bucket of ice.
McTaggart tweets George wonāt swing a bat until Friday at the earliest (which simply means he wonāt play today as there arenāt any games tomorrow or Thursday).
