Those were some nasty sinkers on that last K.

Yeah, the data are not to be believed. Umpiring is at a historic low, and computers are going to take over because they’ve gotten so bad at their jobs with no incentive to improve and no accountability with respect to stains like Angel Hernandez.

Winning ugly beats losing pretty, and sweeping ugly is even better.

I’ll take a stab at this Chuck. We still have 75% left of the season and 3 years @ $58 million.
Management *needs * him to get his shit together.

Amen and absolution. And while I’m not saying HH’s prolific margarita skills weren’t at least partly responsible for today’s victory, I will say that I stopped watching and the Astros decided to score. Just like yesterday when I stopped watching the game and Alvarez smacked his home run.

Alvarez-Moll collision on PB…
Thankful both walked away from that.

The clearer view from the OF showed Moll falling backwards toward home plate as Yordan slid into “home” (1:47:47).

Can you just post a link? And then comment on it? You make everything into click bait.

Can do.

So he got most of them but when he missed, he missed baaaaaad.

That is embarrassing!

Oh hell, he missed that many every inning.

Yeah, the “estimated strike zone” concept seems to obscure a lot of the bumfuckery. A call has to be really bad to be outside the ESZ. There are plenty of bad calls that are inside the ESZ (almost by definition, if I understand the description correctly, which is by no means a sure thing), and those calls get swept under the rug.
