Oh I sure as hell would too. I’d much rather have a system where bad umpires are replaced than to go with tech, but that it never going to happen. So, go with the tech.
All you need to do is fire bad umpires and replace them, and it would get better, but no, we can’t have that.
So, if the data here is to be believed, the new umpires that have entered the league are more accurate, and with the pitch tracking data, overall accuracy has been improving. So, despite what we all complain about, umpiring as a whole appears to be improving. Curious what Mark makes of this.
