Trump’s unconstitutional block of federal funding is leaving MediCare providers swinging in the wind, concerned if they can make payroll and keep going.
This is hitting the retirement states of AZ and FL the hardest/quickest but, unless Congress does something to release the block, it’s a burgeoning medical disaster everywhere.

To wit: Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee doesn’t think that the spending bills passed by the House are “law”. He also says he’s not a lawyer. He then rolled around in his own shit for a bit.

Just to correct the media here: Trump is not offering to buyout half the federal workforce. He is saying that he is going to fire half the federal workforce but, if any individual worker agrees to resign, they will be allowed to stay in their job until September.
He’s doing this to get around some regulation or union rule; not because he’s being nice or lawful.

It’s not like the very first fucking line of the U.S. Constitution is “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States” or anything. Why on earth would Congress think they have any legislative authority.

Why would Trump even consider not doing anything he wants to do?
He can’t be held criminally liable for anything he does as the President.
He can order an elementary school nuked on a Wednesday afternoon and say he had reason to believe it was in the best interest of the country and there are no repercussions.
No matter what he does, this Congress will not vote to impeach him.
Due process or no due process, he can do whatever he wants and all the American people can do is whine about it.
Of course via legal challenges, workers and unions can delay things, but I don’t see any world where Trump doesn’t get anything he wants, eventually, if he wants it bad enough.
This is what the voting public wanted. They just were too stupid to know what it really meant.
